New Everton Tigers head coach Tony Garbelotto plans to make changes to his squad ahead of the next BBL season.

"I thought they did a good job [last season]. There are certainly some very strong players," Garbelotto told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"We will definitely keep Richard Midgeley, Chris Haslam, Delme Herriman and John Simpson. That's for certain.

"But we will have some new faces and exciting faces for the fans that have got to know the team already."

Garbelotto is confident he can combine his role as head coach of the Tigers with his role as Great Britain assistant coach.

"There's really only a very small crossover at the start of pre-season, which is probably one of the most important times for a professional basketball club," he said.

"That will take a little juggling, but with regards to the two jobs co-existing I don't see it as having any effect.

"I can only see it as help as we have the ability to attract other GB players and to identify other players a little bit quicker."
