James coy on selection for final
Guildford Heat head coach Paul James
James is aiming for a fourth trophy in two seasons
Guildford Heat coach Paul James is keeping some of his roster guessing ahead of this weekend's BBL Trophy final against the Newcastle Eagles.

Just six players were used to beat the Scottish Rocks on Sunday.

James told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "I'm hoping it's the kick-start some of them need.

"It's not something I've done out of choice before, but sometimes you need to let players know that their minutes are not guaranteed."

It is the Heat's first ever Trophy final and James added: "We're going in with confidence, but we respect what Newcastle have achieved over the years.

"We couldn't have had a better preparation than by winning at the Rocks, and I think it's going to be a great final."
