Newcastle Eagles booked their place at the BBL finals weekend, and showed their play-off intentions, with a solid 105-72 defeat of Thames Valley Tigers. The teams could not be separated in the first quarter until Eagles closed it out with a 7-0 run for a 31-23 lead.
The home side then took charge and led 42-27 midway through the second and 58-39 by half-time and went on to out- score their rivals 20-8 in the third.
Eagles' TJ Walker led all scorers with 24 points and Charles Smith added 23.
