England's hopes of winning the Torneio de Lisboa were ended when they slumped to an 87-78 loss to the Czech Republic. Julius Joseph scored 22 points at the Benfica Stadium as England suffered their second defeat of the competition in their third and final match.
England started well but went behind when Jiri Welsch, the only NBA player in the tournament, got into top gear.
Welsch, who plays for Milwaukee, led the Czechs with 22 points, 16 of them coming in the first half.
