Andrew Sullivan was England's hero as they came from 17 points behind to beat hosts Portugal 75-70 in the Torneio de Lisboa at Benfica. Portugal had beaten England three times back in June and looked set to make it four when they led 44-31 at half-time.
But England's sharper second-half shooting, which included nine three-pointers, saw them home.
Sullivan, who also took eight rebounds in the game, scored nine of the last 15 England points to seal the win.
England took more than five-and-a-half minutes to score their first points in Lisbon before Ronnie Baker managed a pair of free throws.
Iain McKinney hit the first three-pointer and Sullivan and Baker added more in the second half.
As Portugal wilted under improved passing and shooting, England grabbed the lead in the fourth quarter and held on to win.
Baker scored 11 points and Julius Joseph added nine.
