Team England's top badminton players swapped rackets for jackets as they dressed up to promote the All England Open Championships, taking place in Birmingham
If it's badminton prom night, the king and queen are Olympic veteran Nathan Robertson and new partner Jenny Wallwork, who stepped into the breach - headwear and all - when Gail Emms retired
Robertson, now 32, has previously bared all in a bid to publicise his game - but may stop short of sporting his new outfit on-court
Glamour puss Wallwork is joined by Gabby White, left, her women's doubles partner, ahead of the All England tournament, one of the oldest and most prestigious in the sport
White, 20, said: "When there is an Olympics around the corner you are always more determined and motivated. And the All England is my favourite tournament."
Robertson and Wallwork aren't the only partners in town. Anthony Clark and Heather Olver are also doing battle in the mixed doubles
Rajiv Ouseph is the currently the top-ranked men's singles player in England, with three back-to-back English national titles to his name
Ouseph is being pushed for the men's singles crown by 25-year-old Andrew Smith - although that racket may explain why Smith is currently only third-best in the country
