Norwich Devils will be playing in Division Two again next season

Norwich Devils were relegated from British American Football League Division One on Sunday after losing their penultimate game of the season.

Their opponents Kent Exiles scored the winning field kick with just one second remaining on the clock.

They ran out 17-14 winners condemning the Devils to finish bottom and sending them back to Division Two.

The Devils knew before the game that a defeat would relegate them after only one season in BAFL Division One.

The team now only have pride to play for in their final match of the season when they travel to local rivals Ipswich Cardinals.

The club suffered another blow as the youth team crashed out of the play-offs earlier in the day losing 76-0 to away side Farnham Knights.

Youth coach Alex Scott said: "We have played well all year and then ended up with such a poor performance. I'm gutted to end the season like that."
