Washington and Tennessee claimed places in the NFL play-offs with victories in the final round of the regular season. Tennessee back-up quarterback Kerry Collins came on for the injured Vince Young to beat Indianapolis 16-10 and secure the last AFC play-off berth.
Todd Collins starred as Washington beat Dallas 27-6 to reach the NFC play-offs, where they face Seattle in round one.
The Cowboys and Green Bay both finished with 13-3 records to secure first-round byes, Dallas with home field advantage.
If the Redskins beat the Seahawks they will meet Dallas again in round two.
The other NFC divisional play-off sees the New York Giants (10-6) at Tampa Bay (9-7) next Sunday.
Bears kick returner Devin Hester raced for a pair of TDs-- one on a 64-yard punt return, another on a 55-yard pass - and Chicago beat New Orleans 33-25 to end the Saints' faint hopes of progressing.
