Cornish surfer Ben Skinner has won the Dakhla Longboard title in Morocco. The 26-year-old Newquay-based surfer claimed the title ahead of France's Alexi Daniel, despite picking up a leg injury after kicking a rock. The other surfers competing aginst Skinner in the final were the USA's Tommy Loye and France's Damien Castera. One of Skinner's main rivals, the current world longboard champion, Harley Ingleby, crashed out of the competition in the first heat.
