Skinner was the 2009 European Longboard champion

Cornish surfers Ben Skinner and James Parry have both been knocked out of the World Surfing Games in Peru.

Newquay's Skinner reached round four of the longboard repechage, but could only finish fourth with a score of 9.87.

Sennen surfer Parry fared better, going through round four by finishing second in his heat.

However Parry narrowly narrowly missed out in round five, where he was beaten to the final qualifying spot by United States surfer Steve Newton.
