Harlequins cruised into the semi-final of the Tuftex Trophy after a 6-0 victory over Valkyrs Colts on Saturday. James Ferrier and Stuart Gell both bagged a brace with Peter Foxton and Nick Hamer also on target. Valkyrs D ended Kestrels unbeaten run, going through 3-1 on penalty flicks following a 3-3 draw. Ken Carney, John Bateson and Dee Gimbert scored for Kestrels while Neil Shimmin, Tim Groves and Andy Kneale netted for Valkyrs. Elsewhere Bacchas D secured a place in the last four with a narrow victory over Cushags. Rachel Wiseman opened the scoring for Hayley Scott's team before Joyce Vernon-Browne levelled for the Tromode side just before half-time. Peter Vernon-Browne scored to secure the win for Bacchas D. Cammags snapped up the last place in the draw after a 4-1 victory over the Southerners. Captain Richard McAleer led by example firing home a double with Will Higgins and Steve Ronan adding further goals. Paul Wiseman was on target for the Southerners.
