Emma Lee-Smith was on target for Ipswich Ladies

Ipswich's two leading hockey sides suffered their heaviest defeats of the season at the weekend.

Emma Lee-Smith netted Ipswich Ladies' goal as they were thumped 8-1 at Slough on Saturday to leave them eighth in the EHL Premier Division after six games.

On Sunday, Ipswich's men lost 7-3 at home to Old Loughtonians in the National Conference East.

Keir Dixon got two of Ipswich's goals and Josh Godfrey the other as the Suffolk side stayed ninth in the table.
