Heather Watson won gold in the girls' tennis tournament

Guernsey's Commonwealth Youth Games team manager Dave Harry believes the event is unlikely ever to be held on the island.

He told BBC Guernsey "There is a huge amount of security and I think we would struggle with that.

"The barriers are political rather than sporting which is a shame."

The island's youngest sport stars returned home on Sunday from the latest Games in India with some great performances and a gold medal.
