The social leagues will play against each other for the first time
Guernsey's Saturday Football League and the Sunday Soccer League play in a new cup competition between sides from the two bodies this weekend.
The Antonio Folmi Memorial Cup will be contested by the 26 teams which broke away from the Guernsey Football Association in the summer.
The leagues were unhappy with new GFA rules limiting players to appearing for just one team in Guernsey.
The cup is named after the popular Sunday footballer who died this year.
"His wife asked if she could donate a trophy to the Sunday league in his memory," Rod Hamon, who oversees both leagues, told BBC Guernsey.
"We're overcrowded with cups in Sunday league football and in the Saturday league so we asked if she would be kind enough to let us open it us to both leagues, which makes it a bigger competition."
