The Isle of Man's Festival of Pool gets underway later this month at the Villa Marina in Douglas.

Organised by the UK's top female player Michaela Tabb the event will feature sixty-four of the world's most talented professionals.

Tabb said of the event: "It's a great opportunity for Island's players to test themselves against the very best.

"With thousands of pounds up for grabs in prize money, the event has attracted some outstanding talent."

Five hundred people are expected to take part in the competition which runs from 26 September to 4 October.

Alongside the professional title there is also an open singles event, a consolation cup, mixed doubles and a seniors event.
