Norbury made the TT podium on eleven occasions

Isle of Man TT development manager Paul Phillips has paid tribute to sidecar ace Steve Norbury who died following a crash in Germany on Sunday.

"Steve was a very popular figure on the Isle of Man and one of the best drivers never to win a TT," said Phillips.

"He had eleven podiums, which is an incredible achievement and set his fastest time in this year's event."

Norbury, who was from Castleford, was racing in the latest round of the German Championship at Hockenheim.
