Ross Rowing Club's men crews acquitted themselves well in the annual Head of The River Race that is held over the Boat Race course on the Thames. Ross entered two eights in Saturday's event and both made up around 29 places on their starting positions.
Club captain Ian Howell said: "From a club perspective this has been an exceptional year in which we have brought on many new oars people.
"We are now in a position to enjoy a successful regatta season."
