England retained the World Men's Team Squash Championship by fighting back to beat Australia 2-1 in Chennai, India. The defending champions took the title for the sixth time, despite Australia's David Palmer beating Nick Mathew 9-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-2, 4-11 in the opener. James Willstrop levelled the final with an 11-8, 11-7, 11-10 (2-0) win over Stewart Boswell and Peter Barker then beat Cameron Pilley 11-6, 11-3, 11-8.
