Sarah Stevenson will aim to improve on her 2005 silver medal when she competes at the World Taekwondo Championships in China on Saturday. Stevenson will lead a 10-strong British team which also includes Dutch Open gold medallist Tyrone Robinson and German Open gold medallist Craig Brown.
The Beijing event is seen as a marker ahead of the Olympics in 2008.
Coach Gary Hall said: "I'm confident we will be more than able to match the best players in the world."
