Olympic qualification is at stake for Britain's best archers at this week's World Championships in Leipzig. The tournament features 530 competitors from 80 nations, all out to secure spots at the 2008 Beijing Games.
Teams finishing in the top eight of the men's or women's team events guarantee their country three places in China.
The top 32 finishers in the individual competitions also secure a place, with a maximum of three per country. Britain has a nine-strong team in Germany.
Larry Godfrey, Simon Terry and Alan Wills compete in the men's recurve, with Athens bronze medallist Alison Williamson, Naomi Folkard and Charlotte Burgess flying the flag in the women's event.
Team GB performance manager Barry Eley said: "We've performed really well in the team tournaments at the World Cup events this year, and we are more than capable of winning medals in Leipzig.
"But we are certainly good enough to achieve top eight finishes, and with it, guaranteeing us maximum places in Beijing, which would be fantastic.
"Individually, we have the quality to make an impact in the individual tournament - Larry, Simon, Alison and Naomi have all achieved at the highest level, and have great experience, while Alan and Charlotte are established internationals."
In compound, Britain is represented in just the men's championship, with former world champion Chris White, Liam Grimwood and James Forbes.
