Organisers of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin have cancelled a meeting to discuss their �104m budget shortfall. The Turin organising committee revealed that the board did not have the minimum number of members required for the meeting to take place.
A lack of support from state-owned companies is one of the main reasons for the budget deficit.
Officials hope to have a solution by the end of next week following a government meeting on Tuesday.
