Coleraine girl Jenna McCorkell lands British title hat-trick

Coleraine ice skater Jenna McCorkell won the British Senior Figure Skating Championship for a third time in Nottingham at the weekend.

The Coventry-base skater clinched the title with an emmaculate performance to push Sarah Daniel and Kathryn Hedley into the minor placings.

''The quality of skating was superb,'' said her coach Yuri Bureiko.

''Jenna successfully performed all her jumps and the calibre was outstanding.''

McCorkell will now head to Italy for a crack at the European Seniors hoping to better her 14th place of last year.
