Riesch halted by shoulder injury
German Maria Riesch
German Maria Riesch will be out for at least three weeks after injuring her shoulder in practice.

Riesch, who turns 20 on 24 November, fell hard during training and suffered bone splinters.

Doctors have told Riesch that she may have to stay away from the slopes for up to six weeks, but the rising star is hoping to return in mid-December.

Riesch will miss all the World Cup events in the United States and Canada as a result of the injury.
