British sailors Ben Ainslie and Shirley Robertson won silver and bronze at the SPA Olympic classes regatta in Holland. Double Olympic medallist Ainslie scored a fourth in the final race in the Finn to climb from fifth to second behind Poland's Mateusz Kusznierewicz.
Robertson, sailing the Yngling with Sarah Ayton and Sarah Webb, held onto her third place in the last race.
"On the whole I was sailing well and everything is working well towards Athens," said Ainslie.
The Olympic Laser champion added: "I was good but not good enough. I had a number of decent races but I also had some issues with rule 42 and equipment on the new boat."
Robertson, who won gold in the Europe at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, said: "I am really glad that we had a light wind week as it flagged up a number of weaknesses.
"If it was windier we could have finished in the top three with ease, but in the lighter breeze we learnt some lessons about the sails and set up and we feel that we are moving forwards.
"We were generally racing well and making good decisions. We had one bad day and to finish four points off the leader is very positive."
In the Mistral windsurfer class, Team GBR sailor Nick Dempsey finished fourth and Natasha Sturges was fifth in the women's fleet.
British Star sailors Iain Percy and Steve Mitchell were fourth, one point off third place, while Chris Draper and Simon Hiscocks finished sixth in the 49er class and Leigh McMillan and Mark Bulkeley finished ninth in the Tornado fleet.
