Britain's Kristan Bromley notched up a hat-trick of World Cup bob skeleton victories by triumphing in Lillehammer on Friday.

The 31-year-old from Lancashire, who designs his own sleds, is unbeaten in the event this season.

Bromley flew down his two runs in one minute, 47.80 seconds to clinch top spot by a massive 1.37 seconds.

Japan's Koushun Tojo was second with Canadian Duff Gibson 1.51 seconds off the pace in third.

Defending overall champion, American Chris Soule picked up fourth spot with Germany's Frank Kleber fifth and Kazuhiro Koshi of Japan sixth.

Bromley's third straight victory saw him move to 150 points in the standings - 33 ahead of Gibson.

Olympic champion Jim Shea lies back in seventh spot overall after finishing in ninth place in Lillehammer.
