England are ranked 3rd in the world
Host nation Jamaica got off to a flying start at the Netball World Championships, with an 89-30 win over Trinidad and Tobago.

Jamaica, ranked fourth in the world, are expected to challenge reigning champions Australia, and New Zealand for the overall title.

Their credentials will be tested when they face the Australians on Wednesday.

Scotland and the other nations who missed out on qualification go into a secondary competition playing for places 13-24.
