| | China and Argentina will play off for the bronze medal in the women's hockey tournament in Athens. The Chinese lost 4-3 to Germany in their semi-final and Argentina were beaten 4-2 by the Netherlands. The third-place play-off and the gold medal match take place at 1600BST and 1830BST on Thursday. Australia and New Zealand will meet at 0900 BST on the same day to decide who finishes fifth after beating Japan and Korea respectively.
