Macha Van der Vaart's two goals were overshadowed

The defender was struck on the temple during Korea's 3-2 defeat by the Netherlands on Monday.

But Korean manager Kim Sang-Ryul said: "She was hit directly on the head and could not hear for some time. But she has recovered quickly."

Team captain Lee took part in a training session ahead of Wednesday's Group B match against South Africa.

During the game, Macha Van der Vaart scored twice for the Dutch, pulling down bouncing balls to net them.

Also in Group B, defending champions Australia beat South Africa 3-0.

Julie Towers, Suzie Faulkner and Peta Gallagher got on the scoresheet but it was another less than convincing performance by the Australians, who are seeking a third successive Olympic gold but lost their opening match to Germany.

In Group A, world champions Argentina need a draw in their third game against New Zealand on Friday to ensure their place in the semi-finals.

Ines Arrondo, Soledad Garcia and Marina Emilce di Giacomo were all on target for the South Americans as they beat Japan 3-1.

China moved a step closer to their first ever appearance in the last four with a 2-0 victory over New Zealand.
