Colombian officials plan to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after Maria Luisa Calle was stripped of her Olympic bronze in a doping row. Calle finished third in the women's track points race in Athens, but tested positive for the stimulant heptaminol.
The 35-year-old said she had taken paracetamol for a headache but the pain remained and, after medical advice, took a drug called neosaldina.
She will now undergo a series of tests in Bogota's anti-doping laboratory.
