Iran boxer 'tests positive'
| | Iranian boxer Salman Karimi has tested positive for drugs and has been banned for two years, according to the official Iranian news agency IRNA. Karimi pulled out of the Athens Games citing a broken hand, but the Iranian Boxing Federation's disciplinary committee did not accept his excuse. It ordered the boxer to take a drugs test and subsequently suspended him when the results became known. Karimi had qualified to compete in the 69kg division at the Olympics.
