Cejudo claims US gold in 55kg

Video - Cejudo wins 55kg gold

United States wrestler Henry Cejudo, competing in only his second international tournament, won gold in the men's 55kg freestyle event.

Cejudo, the Pan-American champion, beat Asian champion Tomohiro Matsunaga of Japan into silver, with a score of 5-2.

The 21-year-old, who came 31st in last year's World Championships, continued the US's record of winning nine consecutive Olympic freestyle golds.

Russia's Besik Kudukhov and Bulgaria's Radoslav Velikov each took bronze.
