Guernsey's Alice Loveridge won through to the finals of the Polish Open Youth Table Tennis Championships on Saturday. Loveridge had a tough group stage first losing to the number two seed Ayuka Tanioka of Japan in straight games. To qualify for the finals Loveridge had to beat Paulina Nowacka of hosts Poland which she did with some of her best table tennis winning 3-1. In the finals, European number two Bernadette Szocs of Romania knocked Loveridge out in straight sets.
