Roseland say they have what it takes to win the 2008 title

Roseland's rowers say they have what it takes to win this year's World Gig Racing Championships.

The crew are hoping to take the world crown off reigning champions Caradon in the Isles of Scilly this weekend.

"We're a close knit team, we've got a big powerful boy in at number three and the boys are rowing really well," team member Ian Stringer said.

"This is the year that Roseland are going to win. We're certainly going to have a good crack at it."
