 Beijing 2008 is Kirkham's first Olympics |
East Grinstead's Glenn Kirkham has said Great Britain are aiming for a medal at the Beijing Olympics, despite being eighth in the world rankings. He told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "A medal is our dream scenario. The focus for British hockey is to chip away at our world ranking on the way to 2012. "Australia and Holland will be the two tough teams in our group. A decent result against one sets us up well." Lincolnshire's Kirkham, 25, has over 100 caps and is the co-vice captain.
