Clive Woodward, the British Olympic team performance director, watched as Great Britain women drew 2-2 with Spain in a one-off Test in Terrassa. Lucilla Wright and Jo Ellis of Bowdon scored early before two second-half goals from Silvia Munoz saved the draw.
Five minutes later, the two Jo Ellises combined, the Bowdon player's reverse stick shot firing high into the net.
Britain missed two chances before Spain recovered, scoring their second from a penalty with just four minutes to go.
This was the only official Test match the short tour but the two countries met in a practice game on Friday and face each other again in practice on Monday.
