Jersey won medals in all 11 junior inter-insular events

Jersey's junior fencers went some way to compensating for the island's defeat in the senior inter-insular by winning five golds at the junior event.

Richard Bernstein became the youngest ever Master at Arms in the Channel Islands when he came first in all three weapons in the under-12 age group.

Jersey's Harriet Christie also took gold in both the under-16 ladies' foil and epee to become Mistress of Arms.

But Guernsey's Pierre Ozanne retained all three men's under-16 titles.
