An injury to one of his team-mates might be Garland's only chance |
Guernsey Olympian Dale Garland believes an injury or illness to one of his team-mates is his best chance of running in the 4x400m relay in Beijing. "I'm going to be needing an injury or somebody to be fairly ill for me to get a run," said Garland, who is in Great Britain's six-man relay squad. "It's the top four and I'm just outside of that. They want to run the same four in the heats and the finals. "I've just got my fingers crossed that they will decide to rest one of them."
