Olympic archery hopeful Naomi Folkard has won the women's National Indoor Championship at Lilleshall. Folkard beat British team-mate and Athens Olympic bronze medalist Alison Williamson 116-112 in the final of the women's recurve tournament. In the men's recurve, teenager Tom Barber continued to underline his exciting potential by taking the gold with a 117-115 win over James Laing. James Forbes and Wendy Rowell took the compound titles. After qualifying for the head-to-heads in first place, Folkard saw off Charlotte George, Wendie Stevens, Amy Oliver and Emma Downie, before defeating Williamson. Jenny Jeppsson took the bronze medal with a 115-112 victory over Downie. In the men's recurve, Barber went through to the head-to-heads in second place behind Grant Womack, and came up against fellow international and third seed Michael Peart for a place in the final, a contest he won 115-111. Peart beat Peter Clayton for the bronze.
