Sir Clive Woodward coached England to Rugby World Cup success in 2003 |
Sir Clive Woodward has rejected the chance to lead the Great Britain Olympic team at the 2012 London Games. In Jersey for the Lord Jersey Rugby Cup, Woodward was asked if he would consider replacing Simon Clegg as Chef de Mission of the GB team. He told BBC Jersey: "It's not something I've thought about and it's not something I'm hankering after. "If I took that role I'd have to switch from what I'm doing now and I just don't want to do that." Woodward, who is the current Director of Elite Performance for the British Olympic Association, added: "I'll be Deputy Chef I think in Vancouver and I'd be very happy to be Deputy Chef in London."
