Clegg's new role has not been specified yet |
British Olympic Association chief executive Simon Clegg is to move to a new role as part of a major shake-up. He will take up an as yet unspecified role overseeing the team's efforts to reach fourth place in the medal table at the 2012 London Games. "I am very happy to be concentrating on developing the 2012 team which will be twice as big this year's," he said. "I was the one of the driving forces behind the target of fourth place. It's challenging but also achievable." A number of other senior management appointments will also be made, and the BOA's executive board has recommended that the association should move its headquarters from Wandsworth to a more central London location. "Over the next six months, changes to strengthen the BOA are likely to be the most far-reaching in our history," said BOA chairman Colin Moynihan. "I am delighted that Simon Clegg will continue to play a major role within the BOA in the build up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and beyond."
