One of the world's rising track and field stars in the 400m hurdles, Jehue Gordon ranked 4th in the IAAF Championships in 2009 at the age of 18. Jehue attended three schools in Trinidad and Tobago's capital, Port of Spain.

The school's 400 pupils are football, cricket and athletics mad and proud of their performance at inter-school sports days. Jehue showed sporting promise from an early age and won most of the races at school sports day for his house. The hurdling superstar is also remembered for being a maths whiz. The hurdler has happy memories of his time there from ages five to 12 but one incident has left him scarred for life. Find out what happened to Jehue and more about the school.

The school is proud of its 430 boys, not least Jehue and his long division skills. Jehue switched his focus from cricket to hurdling at the school after his PE teacher spotted his agility. Queen's Royal College Jehue's profile and training stepped up a gear with his move to prestigious boys only QRC. The school has a rich tradition in producing prominent Trinidadians including politicians, entrepreneurs and sportsmen. QRC are proud that a high percentage of their pupils go on to study abroad on academic and sporting scholarships.
