Pat McEnaney has been chosen as the Irish referee for Saturday's opening Coca Cola International Rules Test at Pearse Stadium in Galway. The Monaghan man, who is rated by many as being the top gaelic football referee, has already taken charge of several International Rules Tests.
Meath man David Coldrick will be the Irish referee in the Second Test at Croke Park on Sunday 5 November.
Shane McInerney will be the Australian referee in both Tests.
Meanwhile, Australian joint-captain Dustin Fletcher is confident that there won't be a repeat of the violence which marred last year's series Down Under.
"We can't let an incident like that happen again," said the Essendon player.
"Now, with the rules, if you go a man down here the game is nearly gone.
"We'll be doing our best to tackle well and get our skills right, but nothing is going to happen like that. This time it will cost you for sure."
A number of disciplinary changes to the hybrid game have been introduced for this year's series.
Red carded players will not be replaced in games and a penalty kick will be awarded. Also, yellow carded players will be sin-binned for 15 minutes.
In addition to the new red card rules, dismissed players will also have to go before a tribunal where a minimum one-match ban will be handed to those handed a guilty verdict.
Australia boss Kevin Sheedy has appointed Barry Hall as his captain for the Second Test although the Sydney Swans player is an injury doubt for Saturday's opening clash.
Saturday's First Test is a sell out and over 65,000 tickets have already been sold for the Second Test at Croke Park.
