McGeeney has also committed to another season with Armagh |
Kieran McGeeney is emerging as the favourite to be handed the captaincy of the Ireland International Rules team. The 34-year-old Armagh star was left out of Ireland's International Rules side over the past two years but he has been recalled by new boss Sean Boylan.
McGeeney has also recently committed to another season with Joe Kernan's Armagh football squad.
The majority of the Irish squad travel to Toulouse this weekend for a training weekend ahead of the Two Tests.
Australia will defend the Cormac McAnallen Trophy on 28 October in Galway and on November 5 at Croke Park.
