Kieran McGeeney will bring experience to the Rules panel |
Armagh star Kieran McGeeney is back in the Ireland training panel for the two
International Rules games against Australia later this year. McGeeney was controversially left out of the squad for the 2005 series.
Armagh have five players in the 44-man panel, Tyrone have six while Down (three), Derry (three), Donegal (one) and Cavan (one) are also represented.
The squad named by manager Sean Boylan does not include players still involved in the All-Ireland championship.
The players will meet in Dublin this weekend for training.
Former Derry star Anthony Tohill is one of four selectors for the Ireland team.
Ireland will travel to Australia next year with the future of the series being reviewed after the trip.
It is expected that switching the series from being an annual event to taking place every two years will be considered.
This year's games will be played at Galway's Pearse Stadium on 28 or 29 October and Croke Park on 4 or 5 November.
