Lavery score a goal with his first touch and was influential thereafter.

In Saturday's opener, Clonduff led 0-6 to 0-1 at the interval and McConville and Fegan hit the goals in the second half.

Mayobridge played against the breeze in the second half in their game but the goals from Quinn and Coulter put the holders in control as they led 2-4 to 0-7 at the break.
