Tyrone were held to a draw by Louth in a thrilling Football qualifier clash at Navan which went to extra-time. After a tight opening half-hour, two Owen Mulligan goals in a minute helped Tyrone lead 2-7 to 0-6 at the interval.
However, Mark Stanfield's 48th minute goal gave Louth hope and while Tyrone rallied, JP Rooney's scrambled injury-time ensured the extra-time.
Louth led by two in extra-time but two Mulligan points levelled and Tyrone then missed late chances to win.
There was never more than a point between the teams over the opening 26 minutes of the contest.
Stephen O'Neill hit three of Tyrone's opening four points as the sides were locked at 0-4 to 0-4 after 16 minutes while Darren Clarke hit three points for Louth in the opening 21 minutes.
However, Tyrone hit two points without reply in an eight-minute period before half-time to take apparent control of the contest.
With Tyrone leading 0-7 to 0-5, Louth wasting a goal chance of their own and within 10 seconds Mulligan was blasting the ball to the net at the other end to extend the Red Hand's lead to five.
With 60 seconds, Mulligan repeated the dose with a close-range finish after O'Neill's shot had come back off the woodwork.
While Mark Stanfield replied for Louth in first half injury-time, Tyrone, seven points to the good, seemed home and dry as they walked in at half-time.

However, Louth came fired up after the break.
They claimed three of the opening four scores after the extra and amazingly there was just two points between the side when Stanfield slammed home the ball to the net in the 48th minute after good work by JP Rooney.
However, Tyrone regained their composure helped by a couple of superb points by half-time substitute Enda McGinley and stretched out their lead to four points again on a couple of occasions.
Tyrone led by four as the game went into injury-time before Darren Clarke's latest point again left a kick of the ball between the teams.
Incredibly, JP Rooney then scrambled the ball to the Tyrone net in the third minute of injury-time to level the game and ensure the extra-time.
Points from the superb Brian White and Mark Brennan put Louth ahead by two for the first time in the game four minutes into extra-time and they retained this advantage as the end of the first period.
It could have been even better for Louth as Stanfield had a shot for goal from distance which went inches wide with Pascal McConnell beaten.
However, Tyrone summoned up a huge effort in the closing 10 minutes of extra-time with two Mulligan points levelling the game and bringing up his total to a remarkable 2-6.
Tyrone then had their chances to tie the game with Brian Meenan and then especially Dermot Carlin guilty of bad misses late in extra-time.
The replay will be played at Omagh next Saturday (1530 BST) and there will be major doubts over the fitness of star forward Stephen O'Neill and Gerard Cavlan who both were forced off by serious-looking injuries in normal-time.
