AFL clubs to look at minor stars
James Colgan has been asked to attend the training camp in Limerick
James Colgan captained Down's All-Ireland minor winning side
Some of Ireland's best young gaelic footballers have been invited to attend a three-day training camp being organised by Australian Rules clubs.

Down minor stars James Colgan, Martin Clarke and Joseph Ireland are among those who have been invited to the get-together in Limerick next week.

The news will concern those who view the International Rules series as a recruiting ground for AFL clubs.

Kerryman Tadgh Kennelly helped Sydney Swans claim this year's AFL title.

Brisbane Lions, who have been linked with a move for Tyrone star Sean Cavanagh, are understood to be among the clubs organising the training camp.

Down's All-Ireland minor winning captain Colgan may not be able to attend the get-together because of injury.
