Donegal's united front
Donegal boss Brian McEniff

Donegal players showed a united front at Sunday's county training session.

Following the dropping of Eamon McGee and Brian McLaughlin for discipline breaches last weekend, there had been suggestions of discontent in the camp.

However, all eligible players turned up at Sunday's session although manager Brian McEniff has a major worry over experienced defender Damien Diver.

Diver sustained a hamstring injury in a club game on Saturday while Christy Toye remains another fitness doubt.

Donegal are preparing for the All-Ireland Qualifier against resurgent Fermanagh which is expected to take place this weekend.

With McGee already out of the defence, the Donegal backline would be further weakened by the probable loss of Diver.

Kevin Cassidy could come back into contention after recovering from a knee injury although his lack of match practice would be a concern.

Karl Lacey, Barry Dunnion and Eamon Reddin would represent other defensive options for McEniff.

McGee and McLaughlin were disciplined by the Tir Chonaill management following Wednesday night's training session at Ballybofey.

It is alleged that McLaughlin and McGee had turned up for last Monday night's training session in an unfit condition - a day after the Ulster Final hammering by Armagh.

Both players were originally censured in the wake of the win over Tyrone in June when they failed to show up for a light training session on the Monday night after that game.

Donegal manager McEniff will be pitting his wits against his former player Charlie Mulgrew in the last 12 clash.

Mulgrew has performed heroics in steering the Ernemen to the final round of qualifiers.

Fermanagh started the championship campaign under something of a cloud after several established players pulled out of the panel.

However, Fermanagh produced a promising performance when losing to Tyrone in the Ulster Championship and have gone on to record outstanding qualifier wins over Meath and Cork.

The times and dates for the All-Ireland Qualifiers are expected to be announced on Monday.
