Armagh humbled Donegal with a 3-15 to 0-11 runaway victory in the Ulster SF Championship final at Croke Park on Sunday. Goals by Diarmuid Marsden, Paddy McKeever and Oisin McConville proved decisive as Armagh lifted their fourth title in six years.
Colm McFadden was Donegal's top scorer with three points. Otherwise they were completely hussled out of the game.
McConville and McKeever were joint top scorers for Armagh with 1-03 each.
A lot was made of Kieran McGeeney returning to lead the Orchard County, but he was back with a bang before he trotted off a minute from the end with the job already done.
Joe Kernan's side gave Donegal a real footballing lesson in the first half with McGeeney playing a brilliant captain's role from his first start in the Championship.
Armagh were ahead 1-09 to 0-04 at the break and only briefly midway through that opening period did Donegal move through the Armagh defence with any confidence.
In fact, it took Donegal 17 minutes to register on the scoreboard when Colm McFadden fired over a free.
By that time, Armagh were already well in control. But Donegal looked to be coming back when they were just a point behind after 22 minutes.
But after that, it all went pear-shaped. Armagh scored 1-04 in those minutes to half-time.
It was Marsden in the 28th minute who scored the opening goal when he jumped high to get the faintest of touches to a McConville ''45''.

To their credit, Donegal did increase the urgency at the start of the second half and had more of the possession.
But while they never looked like catching Armagh, they made they work extremely hard.
However, that all changed in the 62nd minute with Armagh's second goal, a marvellous effort from McKeever who burst clear before delicately side-footing a screamer into the top of the net.
There was no way back for Donegal after that with McConville placing the ball into the net after a pin-point pass from Stephen McDonnell who scored the first two points of the game.
Donegal boss Brian McEniff will now have to lift the morale of his shattered Donegal side as they enter the qualifying stages of the All-Ireland.
Kernan, however, rubbished ideas that Armagh are now potential All-Ireland winners.
''To win any title is great, and the boys showed their true potential,'' said Kernan. ''We are delighted to just to have won the game. Four Ulster title in six years speaks for itself.
''But it's nonsense talk to say that we are favourites for the Sam Maguire. People should know better than that. We just won a game. ''
