 Liam Clarke's Down face a challange against Galway |
Beaten Ulster finalists Down will face a daunting game against Galway in the first round of the All-Ireland Hurling Championship qualifiers on 26 June. John Crossey's team went into the qualifying round after losing Sunday's Ulster final to Antrim 3-14 to 0-18.
The match will be played at Ballycran with a 1630 BST throw-in.
It will be meeting of the Allianz National League Division One champions (Galway) against the Division Two title holders (Down).
Holders Kilkenny, surprisingly beaten by Wexford, face a trip to the losers of the Offaly and Dublin tie.
Tipperary are at home to Limerick while Clare will take on the losers of the Westmeath and Laois game.
